February 2006 (Branson, Missouri) -
2006 marks a new and exciting season of entertainment at The Baldknobbers Jamboree Music Show with the return
of family member Joy Bilyeu-Steele and the debut of third- generation members Garrett, Denton and Brandon
Mabe. With a heritage rich in gospel and country music, The Mabe family has become synonymous with family
entertainment in Branson, Missouri.
Brothers Bill, Jim, Bob and Lyle Mabe began Branson’s first live entertainment show in
1959. Mixing gospel, country, blue-grass and patriotic music with zany comedy, the original Baldknobbers Jamboree
created the prototype for what has become the live entertainment capital of the world.
The sudden and untimely death of her mentor and grandfather, Bill Mabe, co-owner of The Baldknobbers Jamboree
Music Show, set the stage for Joy Bilyeu-Steele's return. According to Steele, her return to the stage was inevitable.
"During my grandfather's illness we spoke of my time with the Baldknobbers Show, and he told me how much it
meant having the family continue the show. I am excited to join my uncle and cousins in carrying on the legacy,"
said Steele.
The daughter of Pastor Hosea and Debbie Bilyeu of Springfield, Missouri, Steele began singing in church at age
three and later performed in musicals like Annie Get Your Gun, Pinafore, L’il Abner, Anything Goes, Fiddler On The
Roof and Grease.
Steele joined the Baldknobbers cast as the featured female vocalist in 1989. Other notable performances include
live appearances on the Nashville Now TV Show with Ralph Emory, performing for President George H. Bush and
Vice-President Dan Quayle.
After ten years with the Baldknobbers Show, Steele took a sabbatical to focus on raising three stepchildren and
cultivating her passion for ministry and missionary work. She traveled to Peru, Guatemala and Mexico on mission
work as well as planting a church in rural Christian county.
Garrett Mabe, 25, and Denton Mabe, 22, are the sons of Dennis and Rene Mabe. Second-generation family member
and featured vocalist, Dennis Mabe has been performing on the Baldknobbers Jamboree for twenty years. "This is a
record year for us. It has been twenty years since our second generation started performing on the show. We are
very proud of our boys for all their hard work in preparing for their debut and very excited to introduce them to our
friends and fans," said Dennis.
Brandon Mabe, 22, is the son of Tim and Patty Mabe. "The boys will bring a lot of new music and excitement to our
stage," said Tim Mabe, better known as comedian Droopy Drawers Jr.
Today’s Baldknobbers Jamboree Music Show is an entertainment powerhouse honoring God and country with a

professionals is proud to present a fun-filled family show that touches the hearts and funny bones of all ages.
