April 2008 (Branson, Missouri) - Family entertainment and fun are an important part of the Branson tradition. In 1959, Brothers Bill, Jim, Bob and Lyle Mabe began Branson's first live entertainment show by mixing gospel, country, blue-grass and patriotic music with zany comedy. The original Baldknobbers Jamboree created the prototype for what has become the live entertainment capital of the world.

Today, the family legacy spanning six decades and four generations continues to WOW audiences with classic country, new country and side splitting comedy. The highly successful Baldknobbers Jamboree, owned by The Mabe Family, is the longest continuous running show in Branson, Missouri. Now almost fifty years later, the Mabe Family continues their family heritage of great country music and hilarious comedy!

Baldknobbers Show Producer, Tim Mabe anchors the talented family by following in his father's footsteps as the character, Droopy Drawers, Jr. Tim is joined on stage by his wife Patty and son Brandon, who both are vocalists on the Baldknobbers stage.

Tim says, "My dad and uncles started something special in 1959. I am so proud to carry on the family tradition of great country music and comedy. Our show is collaborative and every person on our stage contributes something unique to make the Baldknobbers what we are! Dad taught me that!"

Lyle's son Brent Mabe plays base and is the band leader. Bill's grandchildren, Joy Bilyeu, Garrett Mabe and Denton Mabe carry on their grandfather's legacy of great vocals and family harmony.
